A Profound Education ad.

A friend sent a rather profound education advertising, wanna share with you.

Children are blank/white paper, would you like to color the paper in black or rainbow color? All depends on parents.

It depends on parents, true. I would add teachers and the children themselves. We are all part nature (our genetic make up) and nurture (the environment we grow up in). No matter how much "nature" is involved, why not make sure the nurture part is the best possible? Go for the rainbow.

I think that video should be required viewing for all Japanese parents if not all parents worldwide.

Parents are the important role and impact on their children so much!
In the Chinese book of (Three Character Classic), it said “子不教, 父之過”
(Literal translation): It is the father’s fault if child didn’t teach well.
Teachers are important too, but most of (but not all) teachers aren’t that responsible for teaching. Just for money, not for the career.

I think that video should be required viewing for all Japanese parents…
Are you talking about yourself? I hope your kids won’t be that MOODY as you (thrown up a desk), kidding only. ;-)

Hey, my grade chief at the time said my throwing the desk was the best thing that happened that year (the 2004-2005 school year)! It was a particularly troublesome grade because there were so many really spoiled kids who wouldn't listen to anyone. It was getting to be a serious problem. When I threw the desk it shocked the kids so much that their attitude changed dramatically. After that they had a very productive discussion with me and other teachers, and their behavior improved a lot from then on.

I have no regrets for having done it...but I don't intend to do it again. (They might make me pay for it next time.)

I'd also go with parents, teachers and the person himself/herself, the last one being the most important.

So, you've got a pet panda now, eh. That's an auspicious name - Lucky Star. Good start to the "fatt" new year.

Happy New Year, PP, and may all your dreams and wishes come true.
