I am glad you like it. Mahalo, PandaB. ;-p).
Though I haven’t been to the tropical island – Maui or Hawaii, but I guess it must be FUN to wander at the Maui County Fair, not only to see the displayed flowers, may be other interesting stuff, isn't it?

Okay, I'll try again to post a comment here hoping the third time will be the charm! It took my a while to figure out the significance of the pigs, and whether they were either clever or just plain strange, and then I remembered, "Hey, this is the Year of the Pig!" (DUH!)

Those are lovely pics. I appreciate your sharing them.

Ah…now I know you like Orchid too. As for me, Tulips and Lotus are my favorite too.
There are various of type orchids, have you heard that one named Clivia (君子蘭)? It’s kind of noble and expensive ones, not easy to rear and flowering. Old Chinese often said if you could plant a bloom Clivia in your house in one of the year which symbolizes you will be lucky in that year! Superstition or what? I don’t know!

You are welcome, Happy!

Is there any beautiful blossom from your area that could share with us? I am eager to see ;-)

Here is a pretty one from Macao(source from today’s local newspaper). That’s roadside flower-bed near the Military Club.

Of course they are clever, but I guess the Gardeners are more clever & creative to trim these piggies as a theme in the orchid display.

Does Japan have relevant horticulture piggy in the garden?

In Macao, we do have a Chinese Zodiac statue shows at the end of Macau-Taipa Bridge every year.
