Ornaments in Moon Festival

15th August of the Lunar Year, TOMORROW will be the Mid-Autumn Festival (Moon Festival). Chinese people believe that on that day, the moon is the biggest, roundest and brightest. And the term round implies family reunion in Chinese. So the Moon Festival is a festival for members of a family to get together wherever it is possible. Sons and daughters will bring their family members back to their parents' house, typically having dinner together, for a reunion.

P.P. feels extremely glad to celebrate the moon Festival in this year with her parents who came back from abroad in this meaningful date since 6 years ago.

I know, there are so many stuff (moon-cake, food, moon, fairy-tales..) to share for the Moon-Festival. Right in here, I simply would like to post a little colorful traditional Lanterns photos in this small city and hence wish everybody has a Wonderful Moon Festival.

Thank you of all webchums. :-D

PandaB:

I took the second photo in a striking Chinese Garden (named Lou Lim Iok Garden) which is near around my house.
This garden was built in 19th century by a wealthy Chinese merchant and modeled after the famous gardens in SuZhou, China. Tiny, with narrow winding paths, bamboo groves, rock grottoes, a nine-turn zigzag bridge (believed to deter evil spirits), and ponds filled with carp, it's a nice escape in here.
Those brilliant lanterns were decors in the corridor of an exhibition hall just behind the pond.

Really? /:-{
I definitely remember posting a comment here about the lantern pictures, and it did appear in this thread after I wrote it...but then when I checked back again a couple of days later it was gone.

The same thing has happened on a couple of other sites recently, so I wonder if someone is messing with me...

Anyway, if you're innocent, then I'm sorry.

It’s not big deal! Don’t have to feel apologetic about it.

If you would like to post yr. comment again by using your word verification poetry, just do it. ;^)

I've been slacking off on the word verification poetry recently, and I've also been feeling a lot less awake and alert. Coincidence? Uh, oh...time for some exercise:

Quit teasing me now, if you would.
Tell me if I've done something not good.
X-ray eyes would be grand,
For I don't understand!
Something's wrong; I'd find out if I could!

Huh! Your awake & alert for the (W.V.) poetry seems going down or regression.
That poetry didn’t make to the point of my lantern pictures and totally strayed from the main subject. (@[ ]@!!)

Nevertheless, it’s a good poetry. At least, I don’t have that creativity & cheerful mood to write it.
