又到中秋節!!! Another Mid-Autumn Festival

I love guavas, and ate them often on Maui. Still get guava juice from time to time.

Persimmons are another matter. Very popular in Japan and even have a tree in our yard, but I've never acquired a taste for them. :( Such a waste.

Moon cakes and tea, now that I like.

You have Persimmon tree in your yard and don’t taste them, how sad and waste.
They are very sweet. May be Momo the wonder dog tasted them more as u did. ;-p

Most of Persimmons in here are imported from China and a sort of popular fruit in Mid-Autumn Festival.

Speaking of Moon cake: Merchants made them more unique and innovative modern cakes in nowadays. Some Japanese have created some very beautiful mooncakes
Which from Japanese confectionery, 'minamoto kitchoan', are handmade with red or white bean paste.
Though they are new style, I still like the traditional lotus seed paste Moon-cake with yolk inside.

Oh, I've tasted persimmons, I just don't care for them. Happily, K likes them.

PP, I like mooncakes with egg-yolk too. Mooncake and hot tea make a great combination. I like guavas and persimmons too.

PandaB, a persimmon tree with fruits would look nice, wouldn't it? All orange just like mini-suns dangling from branches, eh?
